COLUMBUS, Ohio – Members of the Columbus Education Association (CEA), the Union representing Columbus City Schools (CCS) teachers and other education professionals, have officially endorsed candidates for the November 2025 General Election. These endorsements are the culmination of an extensive democratic internal process which begins with CEA members conducting screening questionnaires and in-person interviews. Recommended endorsements are then approved by a vote of the elected CEA Board of Governors and the elected CEA Legislative Assembly.
For Columbus City Schools Board of Education, CEA endorses Patrick Katzenmeyer, Janeece Keyes, and Dr. Antoinette Miranda. In the other major contested race, Columbus City Council District 7, CEA endorses Jesse Vogel.
“We are proud to endorse candidates who have demonstrated that they are willing to stand up for our students, our community, public education, and working families in Columbus” said John Coneglio, CEA President. “We thank all of the candidates who participated in our endorsement process and strongly believe that as educators, we have made the best possible recommendations for the future of Columbus City Schools and our city.”
