Longtime Columbus teachers’ union president John Grossman died unexpectedly July 28th. As president of the Columbus Education Association (CEA) from 1978 to 2004, John left a legacy of dedication to progressive policies on education and dynamic leadership in advocacy and organization of the Association, said CEA President Rhonda Johnson.
“John’s passing is a great loss to the Columbus Education Association and to the cause of public education,” Johnson said. “But we will treasure his contributions to our work, his wise counsel and the organization that he nurtured and developed during more than a quarter century of leadership.”
